FANS TURN ON RONALDO DUE TO POOR FORM

Fans of Real Madrid turned on the club’s superstar due to his record poor form.

The Portuguese football star has not gotten a goal in four games for his side. This makes a record since joining the spanish side in 2009. The fans jeered at him during the 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. The result took Madrid to the top of the current La Liga standings, but the fans want more from their star player.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine ‘Zizou’ Zidane says he is surprised at the response from the fans over Ronaldo’s form.
“I don’t understand the jeers but at the same time, I was also jeered and it can happen. The public demands a lot from the players and the Bernabeu is special. Cristiano knows that and is not concerned by it,” said Zidane.

Other club stars have risen to the defence of their teammates. Welsh superstar Gareth Bale claims that Ronaldo is excelling in other parts of the game. Zizou says that he knows that Ronaldo would rerurn to his excellent goalscoring form in no time.

3 matches and 3 wins, Conte talks about Chelsea’s perfect start

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all of the Premier League clubs that have enjoyed going through a perfect start of the season as each one of them have claimed 3 victories out of their 3 opening matches.

Chelsea’s Antonio Conte has recently talked about the great start that he and his team has been experiencing and how he has accomplished this task.

“It’s always important to score one more goal than your opponent, but to keep a clean sheet is also important for the confidence of the whole team. When you keep a clean sheet, the whole team works very well, not only the defenders. When we concede a goal, all of the team concedes a goal.

‘’I want to work with my players to improve them and to put them in the best condition. It’s important to keep the last season in our mind, when there is a difficult situation it is important to look behind to find new strength to go forward. We have started the season in the right way.’’ Chelsea’s Antonio Conte said.

Even though Antonio Conte’s debut season as the head coach of Chelsea has kicked off in a sublime form, the Italian coach does not want to get carried away and still wants to remain focused on the day by day instead of longer point of view. Continue reading →

IkerCasillas is out of Real Madrid but he will remain active with Spain

A few weeks ago IkerCasillas was released from Real Madrid as he joined the Portuguese side Porto after penning a 2 year long deal. This switch ended the relationship that Casillas had with Real Madrid which extended for over 24 years.

Even though IkerCasillas was offloaded away from his childhood club, the coach of the Spanish national side Vicente del Bosque has stepped up and supported IkerCasillas as the coach said that the experienced goal-keeper will continue to play a big role with his country in the international stage.

Spain is positioned in the 2nd spot of Group C and so far IkerCasillas has been the main man in between the sticks as he has played in almost all the group stages matches of the 2016 Euro’s.

Spain’s Vicente del Bosque said: “He had worse moments last season and played almost every match for Spain hasn’t caused any problems and has been a great servant to the national team”.

The main problem that IkerCasillas will face with trying to find a regular spot in the Spanish national side will be David de Gea as his Spanish counterpart continues playing at a high level and the younger shot-stopper took center stage in Spain’s qualification match against Luxembourg as IkerCasillas was dropped to the bench. Jose Mourinho is certain that Chelsea don’t need as many points

The start of this new Premier League season has not been a good one for Jose Mourinho and his team as they have sustained a draw and a defeat in their opening 3 matches of the season which is a hugely underwhelming way to kick-off a season, especially if your task is to defend the league title.

Before the 2014-15 Premier League had even kicked off, Jose Mourinho released a statement and the Portuguese coach said that Chelsea is not going to need as many points to win the Premier League title compared to the previous season.

Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho said: “To win the Premier League, we don’t need so many points as before. I think more defeats, more lost points for the top teams. Crystal Palace buyYohanCabaye, as an example. I could give you much more examples.Welcome this mentality, welcome this economic power, welcome this ambition. If the Premier League was difficult, the Premier League will now be more difficult and I think less points will win the title.”

Chelsea’s start of the season has been a disastrous one as they sustained a defeat when playing against Manchester City and could only muster a draw when locking horns with Swansea City but besides those disappointing results; Jose Mourinho has also seen one of his players receiving a red card even though only 3 matches have been played. Paulo Ferreira: ‘’ Every fan of Chelsea wants Jose Mourinho to remain in charge’’

Jose Mourinho helped Chelsea secure their 5th Premier League title as the Portuguese coach pushed the team to what was a very impressive season for Chelsea where they managed to stay at the top of the top tier English league for the vast majority of the entire season.

Paulo Ferreira spent a little over 8 years of his playing career performing for Chelsea and has worked alongside Jose Mourinho both on and off of the pitch; Ferreira took the chance to express his thoughts and point of view concerning Mourinho who is considered to be a controversial person.

Former player of Chelsea, Paulo Ferreira said: “When you are at this club you want to win titles and for next season it will be the same. The motivation is to win trophies. He wants to succeed and do well, for how long I do not know. I think everyone at the club wants him to stay for a long, long time. I think everyone would like to see him in control for many years but in football, anything can happen.”

Jose Mourinho has a contract with Chelsea which extends until 2017 but taking into consideration just how impressively the English club has been performing since the return of the Portuguese coach, if more titles are won then it won’t be surprising to see Mourinho receive a contract extension from the head chiefs of the Premier League club. Diego Costa in the Chelsea starting line-up once again this season looks highly unlikely

The possibility of featuring Diego Costa in the Chelsea starting line-up once again this season looks highly unlikely after the striker hobbled off with yet another hamstring injury in the 2-1 win over Stoke City.

Costa was brought onto the pitch at half-time as the team searched for a winner. It was going to be a gamble by manager Jose Mourinho, who knew that the striker was not 100% just yet. Costa suffered a hamstring injury during the club’s recent 3-2 success over Hull City. Since this injury came only two weeks ago, it would have been touch and go to use the striker against Stoke City.

Just over 10 minutes after being brought onto the field to help the club get a winner, Costa suffered a hamstring injury and it appeared to be much worse than the one he had against Hull. This has raised suspicions that the 26-year-old may miss the rest of the campaign. Mourinho has confirmed that the striker has suffered a reappearance of the injury and that he may miss a few weeks of action. After being knocked out of all the cup competitions, Chelsea only have the league to focus between now and the end of the campaign. Costa is certainly ruled out of the upcoming matches against QPR and Manchester United. Continue reading →
